Today I have 8 snacks for you that will help you avoid midday crash. Avoid the slump by trying some of these super snacks to power through the day. The first snack you could try is Hummus deviled eggs. Remove the yolk out of a boiled egg and fill it with your favorite hummus. Protein helps stimulate brain cells to keep alert and focused.
Next is a green tea mango smoothie. Green tea gives a moderate dose of caffine, while greek yogurt gives a helping of protein.
Now this next one is super easy, peanuts & popcorn. You'll get protein from the peanuts while popcorn also contribute plenty of fiber, which helps smooth out blood sugars and ensures a slow, steady supply of energy.
This one will satisfy your sweet tooth, chocolate protein pudding. Grab a serving of vanilla greek yogurt and add 2 teaspoons of unsweetened cocoa powder, then mix!
Who says rice cakes have to be boring? Top a rice cake with ¼ cup low-fat cottage cheese, tomato slices, and the seasonings of your choice (a creole or lemon pepper blend works nicely). Low-fat dairy, like cheese and yogurt, delivers a big hit of high-quality whey protein to keep you awake and attentive.Turkey pepper roll ups. This one is really delicious. Add some turkey and peppers to a tortilla, then try adding hot mustard or hot sauce in the middle. Makes a great finger food.
Crunchy spiced chickpeas is a nice way to add flavor to your snack. Just cook a can of chickpeas on 400 degrees for 30-35 minutes in the oven. Once done, add your favorite seasoning.
